Last year NASA revamped some of their mission monitoring systems by, among other things, changing from an older CRT to a new Rackmount 18-inch, 19-inch and 20-inch LCDs equipped with a Surface Acoustic Wave touchscreen. These changes took place at Vandenburg Air Force Base in California and Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Below are some before and after pictures. Click on an image to see a larger picture.

This year, 2006, NASA is going to build new mission monitoring facilities. They have selected to go with the NLS RF-19, a rackmount 19-inch LCD equipped with Surface Acoustic Wave touchscreens.
